Sunshine Public School, Ikauna, Shravasti, is an English-medium co-educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi

Our Journey of Growth and Achievement

2005
Foundation

Sunshine Public School began its journey in 2005 with a mission to provide quality education to the children of Shravasti. The school started small but with strong dedication and purpose.

2008
Primary Wing Expansion

By 2008, the school grew steadily and expanded its Primary Wing. More classrooms and improved learning spaces were added to support early childhood education.

2011
Modern Teaching Methods

In 2011, the school introduced activity-based and interactive teaching methods, making classroom learning more engaging and student-centered.

2014
Middle School Block

In 2014, a dedicated block for middle classes was built, including a science demo room, a better computer lab, and an expanded library to support academic growth.

Infrastructure & Safety Upgrade

2016 brought major improvements: a larger playground, indoor activity areas, a cultural stage, and CCTV systems to enhance safety and student development.

2018
Stronger Teaching Faculty

By 2018, more qualified and experienced teachers joined the school, improving academic delivery and providing stronger classroom support.

Digital Learning Transition

When the pandemic hit in 2020, the school quickly shifted to online learning. Virtual classes and digital assignments kept education smooth and uninterrupted.

Aims to do

Immediate upgrade the school to Grade 12. Currently after Grade 10 lots of students can’t go to city schools (many in Balrampur and Bharaich) because their parents cannot financially afford and they are forced to remain in the village with no future. Especially we would like girls to have a minimum of Senior Secondary education with further scope of going to the university with scholarships.

Maintain and enhance the quality of the education. Should always remain a true English medium school.

Provide expert management to the school in enhancing the prestige of school further.

Maintain and provide efficient use of the transportation

Build boarding/hostel for boys, girls and teachers with kitchen facility. Children who are picked up in the morning from their villages around 6:30 am and dropped back after 3 pm. They usually spend almost 2 hours on the bus. They are very tired and a hostel for them will be a great boon both for children and parents and huge savings in the transportation expenses

Expand computer lab and start physics/chemistry lab and well stocked library

Start science projects fairs for both girls and boys

Continue the maintenance of the building and expand playground facility

Continue the field trips for children
